Hello,

I’ve just come back from Vienna, where I’ve been delivering a session I call The AI Advantage to the Operations Division of a financial services client.

I wasn’t going to write about it, but something there is worth sharing. The training has had such a strong reaction internally that more and more divisions keep putting their hands up for it — spreading quietly, team by team, on word of mouth alone. When I looked at why, it came down to something simple enough to be useful to you too, whether or not we ever work together.

Most people use AI like a search engine — a few words, hit enter, see what comes back — and then decide it “isn’t much use for their kind of work.” The truth is nearly the opposite. AI is extraordinarily capable; most people just never brief it properly.

Think of it less like Google and more like a brilliant colleague on their first morning: able to do enormous work in seconds, but knowing nothing about your desk, your clients, or what’s at stake unless you tell them. That shift — from prompting to briefing — is where the results actually live.

But briefing well is only the start. The part that’s genuinely changing how these teams work is what comes after it: agentic prompting, where AI carries out multi-step work rather than answering one question at a time; setting up agents that hold your standing instructions and run the same way every time; and automating the workflows people quietly dread — the dense documents, the repetitive checks, the drafting that swallows a morning. That’s the leap from using AI to putting it to work.

In three hands-on hours, built around a team’s own real workflows rather than textbook examples, people move from “I should probably use AI more” to actually automating a piece of their work — and knowing how to build the next one themselves.

It works for the complete beginner and the daily AI user in the same room, and for regulated work it’s done in a way you can trust: traceable, auditable, and careful with the things that carry real risk.

If any of that is something your team has been circling, I’m always glad to talk it through — just reply and tell me a little about your group. No pitch; I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a fit.

Warmly,

Mary Beth
